Project St. Mary’s

Project Progress

As we mentioned last month, the project team has continued seeking help  from  experts in church restoration and buildings.  We now have a Topographical Survey of the area around the church which will be used to produce accurate plans for the new building. .

Awareness and Publicity

We have started to design and develop a project website that will be the entry point  for accessing all information relating to Project St. Mary’s including links to other sites .  We are also looking at other suitable communications media to spread awareness of the project and make it easier for people to find out what we are doing.

How can you help?

Now that the project is picking up pace we will be looking for help in a number of areas. For instance if you have any skills in writing website articles, drafting proposals, or just keen to offer help we would like to hear from you.  Please contact  Cynthia Newman at cmn@aldermaston.plus.com

Fund Raising

I am also very pleased to report that we have reached an important milestone towards  the funding for the initial planning and approvals stage by raising half of the target originally set.  A massive thank you goes to everyone who has contributed so far. To reach our initial target we only need another £2000 in donations as each amount is doubled by a local charitable funding scheme and tax benefits are usually claimable. To make a donation type Find me a Grant into your internet search engine and when you access the site select ‘Live Application’. Then type Aldermaston Church into the search box. Our bid will then appear.  Please note you can opt to be anonymous if you wish. For those not on the internet ,  please send donations c/o Revd Becky Bevan at The Rectory, Wasing Lane, Aldermaston, RG7 4LX.

Thank you for your support
